Where the figures come from

  • Air and rainfall: averages for 1996 to 2025 from weather-model data (reanalysis) for the named place. A rainy day has at least 1 mm of rain.
  • Sea: average sea-surface temperature off the coast since November 2022. A longer free record is not available.
  • Sunshine: modelled hours. On the coast they tend to run high, because the model only roughly captures trade-wind cloud.
